MACOG is located in South Bend, Indiana just south of the Michigan state line. The area is 45 minutes from Lake Michigan, 1 ½ hours from downtown Chicago, and three hours from Indianapolis. The region boasts of more than fifteen colleges and universities, including the University of Notre Dame, Saint Marys College, and Indiana University. The region includes Elkhart, Kosciusko, Marshall, and St. Joseph Counties with a regional population of more than 567,000 people.
Regional planning agency seeks full-time GIS Network Model Technician to support planning programs and projects through GIS mapping and travel demand forecasting. The position requires advanced GIS skills. Duties involve research, data collection, analysis, report/grant preparation, map generation, computer network modeling and other duties assigned by the Executive Director. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in urban and regional planning, transportation planning, geography or related field required. Advanced computer skills, computer mapping, traffic assignment modeling and database design and development required.
